The content would have been better without the “bimbo” label. And the droning on, and on, and ... sorry, I gave up.

Funny he mentions TBI’s, because I’d assume anyone who gets that worked up over a car advert has suffered one.
BRB , Jeep told me I can go bomb down the Grand Canyon on my bike because I own a Jeep.

It pisses me off so much when a new car ad shows people blatantly neglecting to use their turn signals. Even a “professional driver; closed course” note fails to keep ads like this from effectively embracing (and encouraging) a lack of indication as acceptable and normal behavior, as if the only people who signal are goody-two-shoes. Very satisfying to watch John rip Nissan a new one over this and more . I hope they see all the comments now pouring into their video .

I’ll also add that a dude shouldn’t be throwing the bimbo label around when the woman in question has wider shoulders than he does.
Homeboy needs to hit the weight room before he tries acting like he’s an alpha anything.

“It just demands control”
WHAT MORON WROTE THAT LINE!? That is quite possibly the most ridiculous marketing nonsense I’ve ever heard... Yeah, of course it demands control, it’s not like it’s just gonna drive itself. Somebody in marketing must’ve had a really long day...

right - I hate that patronizing style of ad whose premise is , “you are an incompetent and unsafe boob - have we got the car for you!” But it works on some folks - they want to feel “safe” and that their car will take care of them...

F rom some angles that is a good looking truck. From others, it looks like something off an a low budget “Pimp My Ride.” Honestly overall that is not the worst car commercial I’ve seen in a while. It is a bit... much... and the dude in the film does nothing other than prove he is a worse actor than the lady.
The critique... is valid... or at least the seatbelt stuff is. I didn’t make it much further. The sexism is a bit much, though he was right to explicitly attack the character, not the woman playing the character, which was an excellent distinction.
Might just be a little too Australian for me, I guess.

Update- Nissan disabled comments on their original video, and subsequently set it to private:
